Welcome to the Sacramento Central Railroad. This is the official website of the Sacramento Modular Railroaders, Inc. We operate the Sacramento Central Railroad (SCRR), a state-of-the-art modular HO scale model railroad that has been in existence for over three decades. Sacramento Modular Railroaders, Inc. (SMR) is a non-profit, educational-historical corporation registered in the State of California. The Sacramento Central Railroad is our modular HO scale model railroad, which depicts operations between Gerber, CA in the north and Modesto, CA in the south with a major yard facility in Roseville, CA. See below for the dates and locations of SCRR public operating sessions. Unforeseen rescheduling or cancellation of Sacramento Central Railroad operations will be posted as soon as possible.

We operate locomotives and rolling stock from all eras at our public shows. Come check out one of our showings-- you may decide to join our club! Please check this site for updates before attending a scheduled operating session as these dates are subject to change.
May 26-27: Ione Railfair and Vintage Motorfest- Ione, CA.
November 10-11: International Railfair- Placer County Fairgrounds, CA.
Thanksgiving, November 23-24: California State Railroad Museum- Old Sacramento, CA.
Private Operations Schedule - 2012
We operate the railroad privately once each month in the Sacramento area. These are members-only sessions but invited individuals may attend. If you are interested, please contact us by e-mail, outlining your interest, background, and age (if under 18). Our next private operating session will be held on July 21, 2012.
